Why the short time limit on the challenge questions?

Some of the questions are too long to read in the time limit. Can anyone give me an example of lives lost because code wasn't debugged in under 60 secs? Is this really a test of coding?

I have same question. Questions of Java, php, c languages like trace the output takes more time😐

I agree, the coding challenges would be the best way to go forward. I was hoping the challenges would be more like the little tests after each lesson, but a bit more random.
