JavaScript vs python

Question

I’ve just learned html and css and am building a very interactive website. I’ve heard that JavaScript is the link between html/css and backend (python) though I may be wrong. I’ve also heard python can replace JavaScript. My question is which I should learn first for my website

I think javascript because it is only lang to code the behaviour of webpages and with webpages,earn big.you can't use python coding on webpage .web programmers use mostly javascript only!
