How to run a cpp file downloaded from mail in PC?

I have got a cpp file on my mail from my friend and have downloaded it but am not able to open it in my PC's Turbo C++. Please recommend the steps to do so.

In turco c++ look for the directory where you have downloaded the file and also do not forget to change the extension of file to ".cpp" if it is in different format .

you must have a compiler. you can download it. or if you want you can download an IDE who have a compiler embedded.
