Why the symbols doesn’t show up in the page

These tags are a type of metadata and not actual data that is displayed on the page. However tags are different from the metadata about the web page that goes inside the header.

Because they gave instructions to web page how it will shown and web page read it like <br /> shows break line so from there line will be break . <p> shows paragraph so it will see the other text as an paragraph .
