Is google the only way we can publish websites?

Yahoo, bing, ... are ( I think) made from google. Maybe google made those too. Anyways, so does it mean google is the only way we publish our webs through?

Where else would we publish them then?

Yahoo is a company on its own, bing belongs to Microsoft... Those are all different search engines and have nothing to do with website hosting. To deploy your website you need a hosting provider.

As for web searching, Google is just too powerful at the moment. But it's not the only search engine, try using others.

what google, yahoo, or bing do is crawl the web. its not like we publish our site on their platform. but instead they found our website in the internet and decide to show it in their search result.

Taste if we didn't have any of those google, ...where we would we find our published webs?
I mean- would we be able to publish our webs _ to start with?

No, google does not handle, own or host any website, they are mainly a search engine.

IRC, forum, email, web ads, or even mouth to mouth advertising.
then again its kinda rare to find a web that only relies on search engine for publishing, well except for personal web/blog.
