How can I make a code that will take an image and turn it into text

So I am just starting into coding and I’m havng a problem where I’m trying to make a code that will see a picture and put it into a name. It is only getting one image though of that thing. For example I have one picture of a trash can and I want to be able to give it that image and have the code say that it’s a trash can. And there will be about 700 images. Again im just starting and i though this woukd be simple kinda like a if then kida statement so if it’s not please tell me.

I forhot to state that I am using Java
