wrong xp shown in challenge?

i observe many a time, wrong xp shown in the challenges list and when i win or loss then new xp add up in my previous xp points. Any one also facing the same? what is its possible reason?

Yeah it is counted from time you start a challenge, not after completing a challenge

You can win xp even when you lose a challenge against an opponent with more xp in the language.
