Is Ruby a High Level Programming Language?

Well I've heard online it is, from my perspective I dont see anyone who codes with Ruby... Is it popular?

Ruby is the highest in terms of programming language level among courses offered here. What C++ does in 6 to 7 lines, Ruby does in 1.

Ruby is also insanely fast.

It is surely more efficient in terms of it doing the same job in less lines of code than other languages. That's how much I know about it
