If you would start teaching programming in an university, what language you would teach and why?

I mean, what language do you think that are more ludic, that is easy to present the programming fundamentals.

according to me it will be JAVA...

i would also choose java, because i think its easy to read

System.out.println ("test");
is much mor logical than for example
cout << "test" << endl ;

but its just my opinion because my knowledge in java is the biggest and i work with java :)
