Is Quantum Computer a real threat to regular computers

To my perspective Quantum Computers are not that relevant as of today so I think it cannot make wide scale impact on security for regular computer users. The big threat imposed by the Quantum Computers is that it can hold ang simulate heavy than the regular ones.

There will be a place for regular computers as well as the quantum ones, the affordability factor plays a role there.
