writing things down helps me learn as well. it gives me a chance to reproduce what I have learned and think about it on a different level because it forces me to look at it as a whole, break it down, and write it up.

for me the best way to learn is actually to either explain it to someone else, or to write it down as a lesson. good thing I am a teacher :)
