Three questions starting with "How..."

1. How will I know when I'm good enough (or good at all) ? With any coding language, is there some way that I can check whether I'm competent at using it? 2. How can I immerse myself in the coding community? I've been told many times that it helps a lot to build a network with those above, below and at your level. Other than SoloLearn of course, what social media can I use to interact with other coders? 3. How can I keep up to date? Another thing that I've been told is that computers and coding are progressing fast. Are there any websites, Twitter pages or even YouTube channels you'd reccomend? I should probably point out that I'm hoping to go into gaming. With that context, each of the above questions gain a sub question. (When will I be good enough to make a game? How can I connect with game programmers? How can I keep up to date with gaming and the tech that goes into making them?) Thanks in advance!

Hi Gage , 1. At first, pick up a language where you get more interest. You should practice more and more to get better. Revising what you know again and again leads you to nowhere. You should try developing projects to get better, and the day you see a piece of code and ignore to answer thinking that eeh! That's a silly one! That day you will know yourself. 2. SoloLearn is a good place for beginners. Not just lessons, here you have Challenges, XPs for fun, Q&A forum like this one, code platforms, badges and much more. Just engage with the people, try asking appropriate questions and answers. 3. I don't have much knowledge about gaming resources, but you can search here for the resource. Continue point 3... To be up to date with new techs, I found a new way, search a while for coding stuffs/blogs on Google, soon your Chrome/Google will start suggesting you similar content and I believe those will surely keep you updated. ☺
