Which programming language has been created but still not used in implementing higher applications?

- Pikachu Language

Deliberately designed to be *terrible*

There are many languages that used to be popular, but arent really anymore except in specialised cases or with legacy hardware/software

I think COBOL qualifies for one of those. Assembly is still widely used so it doesnt count, however we dont code *big* programs with it

Search for esoteric programming languages and you will find hundreds of languages that have not been used and likely will never be used.
