What languages are vital to become a competent web developer?

Web devs divide into 3 seperate categories which are backend,frontend and full stack.

1-Backend Dev
Pretty much all(Java,C#,Php,Ruby,Go,Scala,Python,,Javascript and SQL) but dont worry noone will prefer you for just a bunch of languages. There we go for frameworks(Spring,ASP.NET,Laravel,Rails,Django,Node.js(express i meant we all know node.js is a runtime js engine),MySql,PostgresSql,MongoDB,GraphQL)
2-Frontend Dev
Pretty much something(HTML(pug would be cool),CSS(sass would be good),javascript(typescript,coffeescript,JSX included)). There we go for frameworks(Angular,React,Vue and bootstrap,pure.css,materialize.css etc.)
3- Full Stack Dev
All of the things mentioned above but combined with less like lets say rails + react or laravel + vue or ASP.net + angular. Notice that i am not mentioning about languages anymore because technologies are more important when it comes to picking. Lots of people sell theirselves as full stack dev with php and Wordpress i do find it amusing.

First you have to decide what kind of developer you want to be .. such as front end, back end, full stack, mean stack. Once you decide that you will get an idea of structure you need to learn for development.

Front end: HTML css js jquery

Back end: php , js , python , sql

Full stack : all above

Mean stack : mongoDB , angular expressjs , node.js
