What are some study tips for beginners in programming ?

I just started learning programming and it's difficult to remember all the codes.

Start a cheat sheet. nobody starts out and right away remembers hundreds of functions. everytime you Google a function like var.length(); write it down.

I constantly find myself writing code and looking back at my old codes to remember what function I used for something.

first of all try to understand the commands used in the codes , the purpose of using it .
if u are not able to remember code , have a self made algorithm for particular codes which will make ur learning simple.

the basic thing the programmer must start with is constructing the logic for the given problem. Start your coding with algorithm making then start writing small codes using Strings or arrays. Do as many as you can. If you struck some where then dont hesitate to ask any one.
