Linux or Windows ? Which Operating System should be used ?

it doesn't matter really.

there are a few languages that only run on Windows (visual basic), and a few that are harder to run on Windows.

so don't let the operating system influence your decision too much

however in the long run linux is better, since it's open source, gives you lots of control and has software development in mind more than Windows. But you don't need to switch right away or anything

if you want to try an operating system, use VirtualBox ;) it runs on Linux, Mac and Windows. you can try any os you want, except for Mac.
