Is IT field not growing field?
Because yesterday a lady said that you cannot become programmer because you dont have btech degree or cs degree and it is not growing sector and that lady have been working in IT for last 7 years.is degree essential to become programmer. That lady also said that there a thousand of btech students who wants job but they didnt get any and you dont have even btech degree, you cannot become a programmer. anyone tell me that lady told me lie or truth?

I can't tell you that woman was lying or true.
But of course you don't need a degree to become a programmer.
A degree is only needed to get a job.
If you want to work freelance, you can do freelance work without a degree. There is no degree but rating is checked.

True, some places need you to have a degree to work, but there are lots of places that don't.

For getting a cool job i think maybe she is correct, it also depends on in which country are you applying for job. But what she said about programming is a lie cuz you dont need any programming degree. There are lot of people who dont have any programming degree but people consider them as great programmers. And the IT field was growing, is growing and will grow much in future.

It is growing field because in my collage last batches girls or boys are getting very great job in big cities. one day our department organized a session in the session the boy is IT engineer he told to us in the world for IT enginner has more job.so I think I will be right to get admission in IT engineering.
