Sir it depends on what you wish to achieve What are your goals ? For online applications & websites: 1 HTML 2 CSS 3 JavaScript 4 JQuery 5 PHP for offline & strong software development from simple to complex: 1 Python 2 Java 3 C ++ It is not a must for one to know hole language by heart & that's a waste of time HTML and CSS are not programming languages Take programming languages as tools for a project. C++ is generally faster, Java is best in GUI( Graphic user interphase) but Python is much simpler yet strong & dynamic with an ever growing community But remember DON'T MEMORISE just learn to understand, be flexible & enjoy /*-- I'm sorry for my bad English --*/ #for the love of coding & the love of Python

I won't suggest your core language as you may want research that for your own preferences, yourself... but to start with I suggest fundamentals in this order imo 1. HTML 2. Javascript 3. CSS 4. JQUERY 5 Your choice core language I have put javascript at number two but this is for fundamental knowledge... this can also be your core. cheers

First thing congratulations on placing your first step on programming. All right then if your starting on web development I have some few suggestions. 1. If you are a beginner I recommend you to start with notepad++. It is a nice piece of software for you then. This is a text editor. Kind of like the notepad, but with better features like if you are making a web page use this for help. You can select what kind of programming language you want and then it guide you when you type the code. 2. For starters I recommend you HTML. This is the starting of all web pages. It is also very simple. 3. Next after you got hold of HTML start CSS. This is a programming language for you to improve your HTML coding along. 4. If you decided to go extreme after that my suggestion is Javascript. This will help you to make animation, graphics and make your web site more flashier. 5. This is not very important but if you are going on creating web databases PHP and asp.net is suitable. But if you are not intrested of it no problem at all.

start with html(tags, 'container' like main, article, attributes etc) and then try css. I would recommend you to practice everything with a litte project (maybe a little website for you? :) )
