Not necessarily. They both use mostly the same syntax, just a few differences. Like in 2.7, print statements are -- print 'Something' -- while in 3 it a function (with parenthesis), like this -- print('Something')
These differences are enough to break backwards compatibility, but learn either one (neither one is the 'harder' version), and you'll have a great base knowledge to quickly master the other as well.
