Roblox LUA. Where do I begin?

I'm looking to start programming/scripting in Roblox LUA. Basically a simplified version of LUA for anyone that has no idea. I wanna’ know where someone/you started and where you ended up. Whether it was starting and creating a famous game, or just quitting. I would like to know where to start. One day I can code awesome crap like developers!
