Whats the point of studying python 3 version?

Here I am trying to master Python 3 version and everywhere people are still using Python 2. So what's the point? Should I rather just focus on the 2 version?

certainly. Python 2 support is stopped. all focus from the Python people is on 3

I think that everyone will use python3 eventually. Remember the older C++ versions? Who still writes with C++ ANSI '98?
