I need help in HTML colurs

imagine yourself mixing a paint. you need purple which color you need to mix ? its red and blue. its pretty much same as html color format, you have 3 base colors. red, green, and blue. but how to choose the intensity of each color ?

in #FF8800
FF is intensity of red
88 is intensity of green
00 is intensity of blue

FF is the maximum value, so FF in red means its really red
00 is minimum value, so if 00 in blue means theres no blue at all
