.DLL files in C++/C# - How to create and use them?

Question

DLL files contains source codes that can be called upon by program(s) during runtime. Depending on whether it is linked dynamically or statically, a single, a DLL file could be reused across multiple applications.

It is uncommon for user but common for developers to use DLL files.

However, the topic seems underrated, at least from my perspective. I would like to hear from others to offer insights on the matter, not just for me but for everyone else.
