both python and javascript are high level programming- meaning there’s quite a bit of background code and ‘shortcuts’ that makes both languages relatively easy to learn. In fact they are quite similar in many ways.
It took me about 3-4weeks of daily practice on python to be quite proficient with the languange.
While both are in high demand, I would suggest you choose one to focus your learning on first. Depends on your inclination -datascience/ data analytics/ machine learning (python) or web develop/ frontend ( javascript) - you can decide with language to start with.

Both the languages(Python and JS) are currently in demand and both are kinda easy to learn.
