Swing is outdated. I suggest you to use javafx.

JavaFx. But both helps and JavaFx has added features of design and rich set Internet applications..

It is based on opinion. But libraries are good. However, JavaFX is officially a replacement for swing so it might become even better in the future. Also JavaFX allows support for theming with CSS. That said, Swing has more components and is much more popular.
