Games?

Question

I've asked about games before but read I should use ruby on rails for making games...should I do so or stick with javascript?
also if I should go with Ruby what should I use to put code in on pc? notepad? a specific editor?

im making a game rn in js. ruby is kind of gross.... I prefer {} and ; lol. I use sublime. it's good for any language as a TE.
