How can I make the binary array to be zeroes in the middle ?

you could always hard code it..... int x = [ [1 1 1 1 1] [1 1 0 1 1] [1 0 0 0 1] [1 1 0 1 1] [1 1 1 1 1]]; //missing commas... not syntactically correct :/
