How do you practice Machine Learning?

Where do you practice machine learning skills?
Do you make your own datasets or download datasets from the websites? Or you just learn from examples and don’t practice them?

Both ways are important because I might be able to improve the process with my data. In any case it takes time. I recommend to use your own workstation. You can learn it for example with a Raspberry PI.
