Because 2 asterisks are used to show that how many times a number should be multiplied. example: 2**5=32 that is equal to 2*2*2*2*2=32

(**) the double asterisk make the value after it raised to the first value before the two asterisk(**)2^5..... e.g 2**6=2×2×2×2×2×2 2**4=2×2×2×2 2**3=2×2×2
