Application settings and other data

Question

For example my c++ programme got this data from user while running

int prog_settings[] = {1, 78, 16, 56, 91, 10, 23};

And i want to save it that my programme could use it by the next launch and prog_settings got this data again. How to do this? I accept answer on Python too if it's easier
UPD: could you add some code pls with saving/unpacking data

The best way to save your data is to store them is some kind of file.
This is supported by both C++ and python.
