Go vs C/C++

Question

What's better to learn as an universal language to make computer programs (including GUI) and tools? I know Go lang is higher-level language, in comparison with C/C++ but almost everything I can do with Go I can do with C/C++, right?

Go is not a higher level language than C/cpp as per me..it's on the same level i guess... Is just that the syntax is much simpler also Go is currently not as widely accepted as C/cpp but is growing...so there should be no problem in using either of them
