How to Attach a list to a character of another list in python

print(S) # result is [[4, 7], 6]

S = [5,6]
S[0:0] = [4,7]
print(S) # result is [4, 7, 5, 6]

print(S) # result is [4, 7, 6]

[1,2,3] + ['a','b','c']?
What do you mean by "character of a list"?
is character here refers to:
long, shiny, beautiful, amazing, sorted, unordered?
