How to use :hover and rotate ?

Hi guys I'm learning HTML and CSS , and I cannot figure out how to use rotate and :hover to rotate an element when hovering on it . Can someone help ?

Here i made a little example, you can simply use :hover {
transform: rotate (deg)
}
