They should be equal. The speed is not the main difference.

There isn't a difference of speed between one or another. It only change the way that a parameter is sended. for example when you use "get" you can see the parameter in the URL because it is sended through it. But this doesn't happen when you use 'post", that is why is more common to see this method applied to forms. it is safer than get.
