Making sololearn a better forum.
solo learn to me, is the best, learning codes, taking online courses for free sounded impossible to me until I laid my hands on the solo learn app. great forum, especially with xperienced programmers but I think the q&a discussion forum can be better. -maybe the solo learn app needs a chat feature - distractions minimised especially challenge section. maybe 10 challenges max per day. And -more xp and badges for questions posted, answers to questions, and codes posted. just my thoughts. share yours.

The problem with XP and badges is, that their existence incentivizes posting much and liking everyone's stuff rather than posting quality content and using the like/dislike mechanic to get the best answers to the top and rid of the bad ones.
StackExchange is so popular, because more often than not, you get very useful answers and over the years they built up a giant repository of questions and explanations. But quality trumps participation in my opinion.
That being said, I like that the forum here is extremely positive and people are nice. Maybe this is connected to how the system with badges and XP is set up.
I think the app needs a curated section of problems in the spirit of programming contests. A problem is posed, your program gets input in some specified format and has to print out a solution within a given time limit. These could be very simple to start with, like checking whether or not a given number is a palindrome and can become extremely difficult later on. With a separate ranking for performance in these challenges, we have an easier way to see and show people, who really knows his stuff and that might have positive effects on post quality in the forums.
