What language is used in Action Replay?

What coding language is used in Action Replay?
I think it uses hexadecimal.
I want to know this as I understood it when using it, this way I’ll know what language I could learn more about.

Martin Taylor I know it isn’t a programming language and that it is a number system. I just meant that it has to do with hexadecimal. I’ve already looked there, that’s where I found the “memory editing”. My question is: what is used to do memory editing? I looked at the wikipedia page about it and found that it might have to do with “c”, but that probably isn’t correct.

Martin Taylor but how does it add and modify data in the memory? There has to be a coding of some kind involved.
