By YouTube video I mean playlists of a programming language. And by books I mean solving problems on pan paper and making own notes.

Simplying relying on them, won't help us.. They're just like a foundation to construct our own house.. I strongly recommend you to not study programming.. Try to IMPLEMENT and PRACTICE more and more as well as you can..

for starting with a new programming language - why not using the sololearn tutorials with the included questions to solve. also do the exercises in the lessons or the code coach exercises in the community section. this will be a perfect start. you can additionally also watch videos from youtube.
for advance users there are also other sources to learn from.
