Downloading the one folder from GitHub

Question

Hey) I need one folder in GitHub from a huge dataset, but I can’t download the whole data, because it is too huge for me I I don’t actually need it. I need only specially one folder from this data, which contains many files and I don’t know how can I download it on my laptop. Maybe someone can help me :)

Simon Sauter i am just reading about this methods, but this file is too huge, so i tried DownGit and the web page constantly went to the begin of the downloading and started to download it again and again

Have you tried any of the other tools/methods? I don't have much experience with github. The first answer mentions that you may need a token if you're trying to download many files, maybe it's the same for large files.

I really don't understand why github makes something that should be so simple so hard. That stack overflow thread is more than ten years old and was last active a month ago and it was viewed 1.1 million times. So there's definitely a need for a simple solution.
