Is Android Java harder than Java? Should Solo Learn make "Learn Android Java" Lessons?

i believe it's not as hard as people think. Basically understanding Java, you'd be able to handle it. And yes, it would be a great thing to have on SoloLearn!

No it's not. I never felt like that while creating apps.

I think it is harder as there are lot of limitations. For example when you write an Activity (a screen) you have to keep in mind that your activity can be swiped out of memory anytime. It is much harder to receive response from an other screen (intents, result codes). You have to check everywhere if needed permission is granted or you have to ask for it. And there are a lot of other differences which are much easier to handle in a desktop Java application. Lot of devices which works very different, not too good compatibility between them. But there are nice features in Android too (nine patch images for example)
