Which programming language is the most versatile programming language and why ?

1. able to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities.
2. changeable; inconstant.
According to this definition, maybe LISP is the most versatile. Because you can make anything from it. You can shape and bend even the language itself to your whim.
Another point of view is, if you look for a language that can do everything, almost out of the box, then pick Python. It may not do everything perfectly or quickly though.
Asking such questions is not really useful, because the answer can only be incomplete or subjective.

LISP is a family of languages with its root in the 1950s. Common Lisp is rarely used these days.
The most modern Lisp dialect is called Clojure. You can find some information about it if you browse my codes.
