Each language has strengths and weaknesses.
There are many sorts, old and new, compiled and interpreted, object-oriented and functional, even very special niche languages which are great at doing a single thing really well.
Learning more of them, can give you a broader perspective and a level of understanding, which is impossible to achieve, if you are constrained by the limitations of a single language.
