Is it difficult to learn programming or scripting languages if you know only markup languages (only HTML)?

Hello! For now, I know only a bit of HTML, which is a markup language. I feel afraid that it will be difficult to learn programming or scripting languages after I learn HTML. So is it difficult to learn other languages if I know only HTML?

Dupa parerea mea, HTML e un pic mai greu decat celelalte limbi pentru ca trebuie sa retii tag-urile... Unde limbile de programare iti trebuie sa stii sa rezolvi probleme de logica... :)

Could be. There is only memorization in doing HTML, while programming languages require logic and problem solving skills.

no it is not difficult, the only thing that u have to do is just practice, sololearn says (it is just letters and numbers). Goodluck!

Hey, I've learned HTML and I'm studying C++. Seeing as markup languages and programming languages have nothing in common, so there's no possible transfer of knowledge between the two. I'd start ith something simple like Python, then progress to harder languages like C or Java.
