Python cgi programming

Question

I want to run cgi script of python. But it shows me simple plain text of my code. I also tried to run the script under apache server in linux but it's same. I also tried it with xampp in windows fails again i also tried a lot more ways from internet but still fails please help me solving this

How are you trying to run it? Command line? IDE for python?
