.java to .class issues

Question

when doing the "hello world" code and compiling to .class this shows up
ExampleProgram.java:1: error: error while writing ExampleProgram: ExampleProgram
.class (Access is denied)
public class ExampleProgram {
^

is the name of class same with file name?!! bcs compiler does not accept it...
