[solved] stuck in python time's up

Question

it asks to create a program that countdowns the seconds til zero

one of the expected outputs is 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0

i did this:

number = int(input())
while number > 0:
print (number)
number = number - 1

but the zero wasn't included. should i use == instead of > ? or something else? i tried a lot of things but couldn't solve it and didn't get a hint either

What you are looking for is a combination of > and ==, which is >=, the 'greater than or equal to' comparison operator.

Minhaj Zaidi the identation in the above code is wrong, leading to the countdown not running or the system reading a large code to run. The 3rd and 4th line identation is key to the code. Finally figured it out though. Thanks Thanks for the response .

make sure that you are using proper indentation:

number = int(input())

while number >= 0:
print(number)
number = number -1

you can also write it like so:

while number >= 0:
print(number)
number -= 1

Instead of
while number>=0:
Of course I had to have the = in order to count 0 itself 🤷🏼‍♂️
