Drop down menu

Question

So I've been toying around with some basic html code lately and I'm trying to add a drop down menu to my code but it doesn't seem to check out once I try it, is it because the page is still on development or have I gotten the code wrong....

I don't see any issue with the dropdown. What do you mean by it "doesn't seem to check out"? What should it look like?
