How to convert a website directly into An APP

at the university we used ionic to create an angular website, and the team did it. when it worked, then it was just "compiled" to .apk;
and tested, and of course, bugfixes....

so, if really depend on, which programming language was used, and to which mobile would you like to "convert".

possible the way is to create a new frontend for it and work with apis
