better to use VSCodium! vscode steals data.
or try Zed....
but there are a lot of good editors as well: geany, notepad++, bluefish, kate, kwrite, gedit, pluma, nano, vim, notepad3, programmer's notepad2, ....
some free IDEs: eclipse, netbeans....

free, but not opensource: fleet (from jetbrains)
but you can find non-free editors and ides as well....
