Why do they have 1xp challenges? Is it worth to answer 5 questions for just 1xp?

It is a measure to encourage a player to challenge same level peers. But, if one wishes to challenge lower rankings, +1XP it's still a psychological reward (it's like a kid that wants a big chocolate, but sometimes he settles for a candy). A win must mean more than a draw.
