using an AI to make an AI
Hey guys I'm not a great programmer just started but had a question we all know about AI but we don't know what they are capable of. my question is this: if I make an AI that makes for me and program I tell it make or in short it can do programming. and then I command that AI I built to make another AI. and I Also again make another AI.now which AI will be better? the one I made or the one the AI made?

Haha, this made me laugh. Thanks.
I think, once it's practical, it will be based on the resulting capabilities of the original A.I. program (much like what jay said already).
It's probably no different than a person, who's a programmer, who has children. The potential for the offspring is there, but it depends on the circumstances of the upbringing.
For the A.I. making another A.I., the "upbringing" could be synonymous to the strength of the first A.I.'s coding skills.
Only speculation though.

That reminds me ultron from marvel.
I am not a pro, but, I think it may be possible.

depends on the intelligence of the original ai. i would say it would only be able to create one of equal intelligence if its not that smart. but if the original is way smarter than humans then who knows.. might be a super a.i but then it might even make it dumber on purpose to remain the smarter.. who knows.. hypotheticals hurt my brain when i am this tired :)

Computerphile has a good video about it on youtube and talks about the pros and cons of it. search for it putting "ai computerphile".

because the AI will know better syntax than me but yet we all programming is very less of syntax and more problem solving
